Richard and Alex were fantastic hosts! They were super flexible, answered all our questions, and were great with the kids. We were a family of 4 – kids were 9 and 12. From the kids: We LOVED the animals. The dogs were so friendly and so much fun to play with. The goats were awesome too. The alpacas were funny and were fun to feed. We liked getting fresh eggs out of the chicken coop every morning. The horseback riding was super fun – everyone should do it! Catching frogs in the greenhouse was fun too. From the adults: The ranch is quite beautiful. It’s nestled in a gorgeous valley, and has plenty of space to spread out. It was wonderful to be off the grid, and to enjoy nature and the animals. The kids had an amazing time — and were already asking to book a return trip! Kerry, who did the horse-back riding lessons, was great. She was wonderful with the kids, and even let them help brush the horses and learn to take care of them. You should definitely bring your own food. Lots of options for outdoor grilling. Stars were gorgeous and plentiful. Nespresso machine in the cabin was a nice touch — especially for those of us that love coffee.
