Rancho Grande is unlike anywhere you have likely been before. Up in the mountains near Ojai away from everything. We stayed in a yurt at the back of the ranch. Waking up here is an amazing feeling, especially if you’re used to being in a city. I was with my 4 year old son, it feels like the place is designed for kids. There is a lake nearby for fishing, a fire pit, BBQ and lake house with a full kitchen. Elsewhere there is a farm with lambs, pigs and chickens. My son made friends with a lamb called Mr Melanie. He picked a few eggs for breakfast. You get a ‘Gator’ to drive around the ranch and explore. You can ride horses and try not to get spat on by Alpacas. It’s so fun, we loved it! Richard and his family are really helpful and kind. The location is remote, so it was nice to have a few friendly people around. It feels safe out there. Looking forward to coming back in the future.
