Just returned from a weekend at the Howard’s Creek Tent with my daughter for some one on one time outside. This is a magical place. Alex and Richard are perfect hosts. Advice to those booking in the winter months – Bring plenty of warm cloths, hats, gloves and layers! We also brought our own camping blankets which came in handy hanging around the tent. Also try and arrive earlier in the day if possible take advantage of the liberal check- in and check out policy. We arrived at dusk and it gets really dark fast! It was certainly an adventure trying to find our way around that first night. Also bring flashlights for everyone and maybe even camping lights for the tent. There is one powerful light in the tent, but if you want personal reading light- bring it. This is a place to really relax and be in nature- there is no electric or wifi in the tent and the common kitchen and bathroom areas have electric but not wifi so plan on really powering off . There is limited wifi in the front of the ranch by the farm – so you will be able to check in. This was a perfect weekend , we loved every moment and plan to return again with the entire family. Be sure to spend time with Alex and the goats on their daily walk/run!!
